Alliance for Women in Media to Host Women Who Lead Awards Luncheon

August 25, 2016 (New York City) – The Alliance for Women in Media (AWM) is pleased to announce the Women Who Lead Awards luncheon where female influencers and leaders in the media industry will be honored. The event will take place on November 15, 2016 at 10 on the Park at Time Warner Center in New York City.  This year’s format will include an awards program and a keynote speaker.

“The Women Who Lead luncheon celebrates the significant impact made by women in key media leadership roles, from owners and founders to the c-suite and senior executives, in broadcast, cable, radio, digital and satellite,” said Kristen Welch, AWM Chair and SVP, Global Content Operations at Discovery Communications. “Female media professionals have made exceptional progress over past decades and AWM will recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of our honorees while inspiring women throughout our industry.”

Tickets are available for AWM members at a rate of $149 and for non-members at a rate of $199. A special student rate of $79 is available for undergraduate students with proof of enrollment. Students may also apply to be sponsored to attend through donations from attendees.

From past events like Women in Numbers, Women with Solutions and Women in Sports, attendees have been inspired by the tremendous trailblazers chosen for recognition.
The lunch will begin at noon and conclude at 2 p.m. Doors will open at 11:30 a.m.
