Marcia Cruz VP, Head of Content Acquisition Vrio
Marcia Cruz serves as Vice President of Content Acquisition of Vrio. Corp. She joined SKY Brazil in 2006 as Content Manager and became the Programming Director in 2010. She was named VP for Programming in 2017.
Marcia has more than 13 years dedicated to the Content, being responsible for strategy and negotiation of deals with major content providers including major cable networks, studios, local channels, broadcasters and international networks.
Marcia helped SKY negotiate advantageous programming deals that allowed the company to reach 28% market share and 5 million subscribers. She also ensures Vrio obtains programming linear and non-linear rights for all content, servicing +13 million subscribers in the region, with an individual budget of more than USD 1.3 billion in 2019.
Prior to joining SKY, Marcia worked for five years as an Entertainment Lawyer for a Brazilian law firm specialized in the entertainment business and two years as a Movie Acquisition Manager for a distribution company in Brazil.
Marcia holds Law degree (Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo) and Marketing extension course (Fundação Getúlio Vargas).
