Gracies Leadership Award Fellowships

The Alliance for Women in Media along with Google News Initiative are investing in the next generation of women in Journalism and media! We have partnered to create a unique fellowship program for students pursuing a career in Journalism – those who are clear about their passion to create, tell, direct, and connect stories impacting our world.

A select number of students will be selected to attend the Gracies Leadership Awards on Monday, November 13th at Tribeca 360 in New York City. Following this empowering luncheon, the selected students will submit a written or video blog to AWM about their experience. (*NOTE: The event ticket is non-transferable and travel expenses are not included.)

In addition, each selected student will receive a free membership in the Alliance for Women in Media!

Applicants will share why they should be selected to attend the Gracies Leadership Awards and network with leaders in Journalism and media. The application should make clear what differentiates you from others in your field of study.

Creativity is encouraged in applications including using the field of journalism/media being studied as part of telling the story of why you should be selected.

Google News Initiative Fellowship Application

This opportunity is open to female students majoring in any forms of Journalism, both behind as well as in-front of the camera/microphone. Both undergraduate and graduate students are eligible. Up to five students will be selected.
